Our 6 Step Fertilization Program
Pre-Emergent Fertilizer. Mid February- Mid March. We put down a slow release fertilizer plus crab grass prevention.
Pre-emergent – Mid March – April. A second application of slow release crabgrass prevention and spot treat weeds
Mid May- June – Fertilizer plus professional strength herbicide. Controls dandelions, clover, and other broad-leaf weeds.
Mid June- Mid July – We do grub control plus fertilizer, not all lawns will require this step, but is crucial for some, it interchanges with a regular application.
Late August-October– We apply professional slow-release nitrogen fertilizer to help turf recover from all the summer activity stress.
Late October-December– Winter fertilizer, high phosphorus and potash formula encourages root growth, drought and traffic tolerance and helps with early spring. green-up.
